1- The digital watch: الساعة الرقمية

Ex: It's Ten –forty-four ….. 10:44




2- The Standard watch and Clocks: ساعة الحائط

Ex: It's one O'clock




- when the minute hand is not on the 12: عندما لا يكون عقرب الدقائق عند الثانية عشرة

Have an hour= 30 minutes نصف ساعة




Ex: It's half past one ……. الواحدة والنصف

Or: It's one thirty




Quarter hour = 15 minutes ربع ساعة



Ex: It's quarter to one …….. الواحدة الا ربع




3- use past and to:

-Past ….. و

We use past when the minute hand is after the hour

تستخدم عندما يكون عقرب الدقائق بعد الساعة

Ex: It's ten past five ……. الخامسة وعشر دقائق5:10




-To ……. الا

We use to minute hand is before the hour

تستخدم عندما يكون عقرب الدقائق قبل الساعة

Ex: It's five to seven …… السابعة الا خمس دقائق 6:55

Past simple tense:



- Action finished in the past

يعبر الماضى البسيط عن حدث تم وانتهى فى الماضى




- Verb + d / ed

يتكون الماضى البسيط من الفعل مضافا اليه d او ed




Examples:



My mum cooked the dinner yesterday.




He watched TV yesterday.




He walked to the cinema last night.



He worked in his garden yesterday.
